Please do not blame our publisher Joe Pawlak if you received your Snic-Braaapp late this month. When I meet his deadline he always manages to get things printed and mailed on time. I blame the famous legislator known to his admirers and detractors only as "Murphy".

I have discovered a new corrolary to Murphy’s original law which I’m going to call the Law Of Picayune Proficiency until I come up with a good rhyme for "anal". As we master a new tool we learn to complete the same jobs in less time and with fewer mistakes. The LOPP corrolary states that the standard of quality you strive to attain is directly proportional to your skill. A brake job which took you three hours of cursing and scuffed knuckles the first time you tackled it will still take three hours once you’re a master craftsman because of the extra time you spend polishing and powder coating the calipers.

As I become more proficient in the arcane ways of Adobe PageMaker I find myself spending the "extra" time by fretting over layout and typesetting issues. Keep those pictures articles coming!
